We are having to move quickly in determining the cost of a new server. As we go statewide, we have tech needs that our current server cannot handle. Most importantly, our staff needs the ability to remotely access the server, since we will soon have offices across the state.
We have a wireless router but would prefer all of our work stations be wired but are out of space on the router. We have several hubs sitting on the shelf. If we went from the router to a hub, would the DHCP in the router assign IP addresses to the computers that are connected to the hub?

I desperately need to increase the memory on my PC. I just installed windows professional 2003 (used to run 2001 home edition), and while everything was slow before, now it’s even slower. Our tech guy advised us to upgrade memory on some of our computers that are older, currently have 256 MB ram. I could call him to do the upgrade, but he’s not very accessible and I gotta do something now.
