Report functionality--fields from different tables

A couple features requests that will work with various reports; that aren't specific to one or two reports:

--Can we track a call list—“we will have 100 people call XPerson”; can we track the outcomes of this? A report on a number-based goal.

--Can we pull a report that uses fields from different tables (ex: a report that pulls fields from Contact and Participant at the same time--like Participants from an Event and their Relationships)

Maybe Crystal Reports could be used at orgs that are using PB?
