Structure
AMP is a start up organization awaiting final approval for fiscal sponsorship from the Tides Center (tidescenter.org). This process will be finished within 2 weeks. Formally, AMP is governed by the Tides Center Board but because the organization started out of a collective effort of youth organization directors and participants, it has always maintained an organizing committee representative of those served by the coalition. Currently, there is one full-time staff member who is the primary organizer and fundraiser. Contract staff and coalition members have been and will continue to be critical in developing AMP programs and the organization?s 5-year strategic plan. Membership guidelines and rights are being developed. Because AMP serves organizations with participatory structures, the Coalition's governance will be no different.
Decision-making process
AMP is currently gathering input from member organizations on how to best structure the coalition. The hard details of AMP's decision making are not yet hammered out.
